1233 is a Mexican smasher known primarily for his Ganondorf play. An active member and co-founder of Ultra Violence Crew, 1233 is also known on SmashBoards as Dorf1233 or Matarel.

Background

Hailed by the Smash community as one of the finest Ganondorf players on film, he gained attention for two combo videos, Lethal Ganondorf and its sequel, Lethal Dorf 2.

1233 is also known for being the mastermind behind many local montages (and one dedicated to Caveman's Young Link), having done compilations for Smash Mex TV and local combo videos featuring his crew.

He also created the first Femme Fatale combo video for DynaDASH and Speed Machine combo video for Aphelion. 1233 lives in Acapulco, Guerrero, México.

Style

1233 is well-known for being a frequent adherent of the Thunder Drop (Ganondorf's down aerial), resulting in a variety of clever edge-guards that are both unorthodox and original.

Public reception of 1233's Ganondorf play is warm and confirms his uniquely aggressive play style. Despite a lack of international exposure in major tournaments, many purport that he would place well as a Ganondorf main.

Tournament Activity

In the latter half of 2006, 1233 has made several local tournament appearances, placing in the top five at least once in 1v1 matches, as well as coming out in the top spot following a 2v2 tournament wherein he was teamed with Aphelion.

In August 2007, 1233 attended to Smash-Mex 3, where he managed to rank inside of Top 14, while crewmate Reed achieved top 10.

He keeps traveling consistently to major Mexican Tournaments such as Smash Mex, attending nearly every tourney ever made with that name except Smash Mex 4 and ranking high.
