Kyogre (カイオーガ, Kaiōga) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the first Super Smash Bros. game to include Kyogre, as Kyogre didn't exist when the first two games were made. When summoned from a Poké Ball, Kyogre appears to fly around using Hydro Pump, the same move that Blastoise used in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee, where Kyogre shoots water out of its mouth. While Kyogre does damage when it makes physical contact with a character, its attack does no damage and is like Mario's F.L.U.D.D. and Squirtle's Water Gun and is useful for stopping recoveries. Different from F.L.U.D.D. or Water Gun, it's extremely strong and can easy KO a character. This is likely a tribute to Hydro Pump being the strongest water-type move in the Pokémon games, having a power of 120, despite being inaccurate. Kyogre tends to target one character until it disappears, making it a godsend on small crowded maps. Kyogre is a rare Poké Ball Pokémon, as are other legendaries par Latias & Latios.

Trophy Description

A Sea Basin Pokémon. It brought about heavy rains, which formed seas and relieved droughts. It is usually found slumbering at the bottom of an ocean trench. Its attack Sheer Cold is a technique so powerful, it causes any opponent it strikes to faint instantly. In battle, it causes clouds to form and drenches the area in rain. It once fiercely battled Groudon.
