Wall-grappling is a technique in SSBM used by Link, Young Link and Samus that allows the player to grab a wall within a certain area and climb up. It cannot be used after a triple jump. Unlike a Tether Recovery, wall-grapples can connect with any wall surface instead of just grabbable edges. This move is a mandatory part of the Links' boomerang superjump.
How to wall-grapple
After scaling the wall with A, it is possible to grab the edge. From there, one can roll, ledgehop, attack, etc. Air dodging toward the desired wall can increase one's recovery distance, making it especially valuable for the recovery-stunted Link.
