The Diffusion Beam glitch is a glitch for R.O.B. in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Like the Puff Up glitch, this glitch works on any level where the terrain is regenerated, such as the floor in Green Hill Zone or the awnings on Onett. The most popular (and easiest) place to perform this glitch is on Bridge of Eldin. First, R.O.B. must break the Smash Ball so that it will be able to perfrom its Final Smash. Next, (on the Bridge of Eldin), wait for King Bulblin to destroy the middle of the bridge. After a short wait, a twilight portal will open and begin to rebuild the bridge. While this is happening, jump into the space where the bridge will reappear and use R.O.B.'s Final Smash. If timed right, R.O.B. will be launched into the air and land on the fixed bridge. Then, R.O.B. should have a permanent Diffusion Beam. To end this glitch, either:
- Use the Final Smash again with another Smash Ball.
