Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules, Briefly

1. You can only vote once.
2. Vote under the name of the fighter you are voting for.
3. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted for that fighter, or you can just leave your signature.
4. ALWAYS put # when you vote so it can help us count the votes!!
5. ALWAYS put in your signature with ~~~~. This is required for both signed on users and anon users.
6. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comments sections.
7. If you wish to leave a comment in more than one section, do not edit each section individually.
8. DON'T LEAVE A SPACE BETWEEN YOUR POST AND THE POSTS ABOVE AND BELOW YOURS!
   

Round 57: Link vs. Samus

While they hail from two universes at completely different stages of scientific development, these two adventurers have the same job description - travel the land to collect a whole bunch of useful (and some useless) tools in order to defeat all those enemies that refuse to stay down. Whose collection of knicknacks and strangeness will allow them to win this battle?

If they really had a fight, think about it: Samus has chozo armor, hyper mode, missiles, the morph ball, lasers, screw attack, space jump, phazon, and a whole team. Link got nerfed transitioning from SSBM to SSBB. Samus' final smash (Zero Laser, for those who don't know) is way more powerful. Link's FS is just focused on one opponent (unless someone else is stupid enough to walk right in it.) While Samus' FS hits everyone. It's powerful enough to OHKO! Okay, I'm done lecturing. Round 56: Marth vs. Roy

It's the two swordsmen with completely different fighting styles - one focusing more on spacing, finesse, and tippers, whereas the other is more about power, fire, and close-range destruction. They never knew each other in their home universe, but they're certainly rivals in this one, especially since only one moved on into Brawl.
