Round 36: Ivysaur vs. Petey Piranha

A pair of poisonous plants face each other in the Smash Areana. Will Ivysaur's Solarbeam cut through Petey's sludge, or will the big headed mud-slinger trounce the Seed Pokémon?
Votes for Ivysaur The only attacks Petey Piranha can use are stomps, swinging cages and in the games, spewing goop. Ivysaur can use a wide-variety of attacks so Petey Piranha doesn't have much on it. 220.253.197.146 06:07, 24 July 2009 (UTC) Petey Pirhana only LOOKS intimidating, but, like they say, "never judge a book by it's cover". Ivysaur LOOKS weak, but he's got a lot of great attacks, like Bullet Seed, Vine Whip, and Razor Leaf, and more. Petey's weak compared to him. Even if this one is closed after just 2 weeks (which, at the current rate of voting, doesn't look very likely), the next one will be put up over 41 weeks after the first ever one. I think it's time a word other than "week" was used to differentiate between them - maybe the next one should be just Number 37... PenguinofDeath 19:09, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Round 37: Mario vs. Link

It's the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom versus the hero of the kingdom of Hyrule! Will the jack-of-all-trades plumber add yet another trophy to his case, or will the Hero Of Twilight vanquish another foe?

The one item that's on is the Smash Ball. One shows up. Link and Mario go for it. Link finally breaks it with a spin attack. Mario tries to run away as Link gets closer. Finally, Link uses Triforce Slash. The final strike knocks Mario away. Even if Mario got the Smash Ball, Link could have dodged the fiery attack with a great jump and a spin attack, and another Smash Ball is bound to show up later, or Link could use his attacks.
