Willz is a British smasher from Leicestershire, England. He has been playing Smash since Melee first came out in Europe, he's been playing competitively since 2007, and he entered the tournament scene in February 2009.

Competitive Smash

When Willz entered the competitive scene he was relatively unknown to the community. His first tournament was at the London ExCel Anime Expo in 2007. He has been to every expo since then.

His first Brawl tournament was the Elite 4 Tournament in the city of Leicester in August 2008. Willz came 3rd in the pools so he did not make it into the tournament bracket.

Willz second Brawl tournament was at the London ExCel Anime Expo in October 2008. He placed 3rd out of 32 participants. This was the first time that Willz was acknowledged by some of the UK Smash Scene.

Willz entered the 2nd Lincolnshire Smashfest/Rankings in February 2009 which was his first 'proper' rankings, coming 2nd in Brawl, losing to Aiko, and 5th in Melee, losing to Aiko and Yeniths respectively.

Willz held and entered the first Leicester Monthly in April 2009 2nd in Brawl losing to Calzorz in the grand finals and came 5th in Melee.

Overall, he placed 1st in Brawl and 5th in Melee in the Winter/Spring East Midlands Rankings.

Willz entered the 3rd Lincolnshire Smashfest/Rankings in May 2009 and placed 4th in Brawl losing to Trio3 and Yeniths and placing 5th in Melee losing to Aiko and Yeniths.

Willz entered a Brawl Items & Non-Items tournament hosted by DDR:UK at the London ExCel Anime Expo in May 2009. He placed 2nd in both tournaments. He lost against Kira in the non-items tournament and an unknown person in the items tournament.

He also recently held and entered the 2nd Leicester Monthly in June 2009. Coming 2nd in Brawl, losing to Calzorz in the grand finals, placing 4th in Melee, after losing to BloodBowler and Yeniths, and coming 3rd in Brawl Low-Tier, losing to Ixis and Trio3.

Two months later, he held his 3rd Leicester Monthly on the 8th of August 2009. He came 2nd in Brawl closely losing to Trio3, and placing 3rd in Melee losing to Almas twice. For Brawl doubles, he teamed up with the Northern player known as Smudge (regarded as the best King Dedede smasher in the UK) and they placed first after Trio3 and Yeniths forfeited after both had to leave to catch a train back home.

A couple of months later, he travelled up to Manchester for their monthly. This was his first Smashboards tournament that was out of his region. Willz vowed that he would go all C. Falcon, which surprisingly, he mostly did. Although he did use Wolf & Donkey Kong as well to win matches. Once again, he lost to Trio3 in the Grand Finals in a Random Character set, unfortunately for Willz he got bad characters (such as Ganondorf and Lucas) while Trio3 got good characters (King Dedede and Snake) which cost him the win, although they split the prize money at the end. For Brawl doubles, he teamed up with Singles winner Trio. They easily defeated all the competition and beat the team of Aiko and Ryuken in the Grand Final.

In the East Midlands region, he is currently ranked 2nd for both Brawl and Melee in the Summer East Midlands Rankings.
