#I have developed some more respect for Yoshi over the past few months but Bowser was the first character I used in Melee along with being the character I use in Mario Kart if I'm not using a mii. Despite his tier position, I continued to use him throughout Melee and needless to say, he is one of my secondaries in Brawl. When it comes to his attacks, Bowser has the Hammer Head, my favorite f-smash in Melee and is on par with Dedede's f-smash for my favorite in Brawl. I have killed countless victims on the edge with Bowser's f-smash in Melee and I still get the KO with it here and there in Brawl. Bowser also has his awesome uair, which was the only vertical knockback aerial that could kill a grounded opponent faster than Ganondorf's dair in Melee. It may have been weakened in Brawl while Yoshi's was buffed, it is still the second strongest uair (why did they made Zelda's uair stronger?). Bowser also has the Whirling Fortress, the best recovery move for uses outside of recovering in Melee and Brawl. No other recovery move has the offensive and defensive prowess in either game. Bowser is also capable of Bowsercide. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, editors and users, to the Smash Arena! Each week this forum hosts a tussle between two characters from the Super Smash Bros. series! The winner gets, well, nothing. It's more of a poll but functionally, this is a popularity contest. You may vote for your favorite or who you think would win in an competition between the two combatants that round. No, you don't have to vote for the character with strength & power, just vote if you are a total fanboy of the character. So what are you waiting for? Get voting! Remember, you can remain anonymous! If you have any requests for future fights, please feel free to leave a message here.

The Rules, Briefly

  1. You can only vote once.
  2. Vote under the name of the fighter you are voting for.
  3. When voting, you can give a brief comment on why you voted for that fighter, or you can just leave your signature.
  4. ALWAYS put # when you vote so it can help us count the votes!!
  5. ALWAYS put in your signature with ~~~~. This is required for both signed on users and anon users.
  6. Any comments about the fight should be left in the comments sections.
  7. DON'T LEAVE A SPACE BETWEEN YOUR POST AND THE POSTS ABOVE AND BELOW YOURS!

These two part-green part-dragons have always been at odds with each other, even though they're not generally considered rivals alongside the more natural Mario-Bowser clash. That said, the Yoshis have beaten Bowser as a child a few times in the past, and now it's time for the primary Yoshi to take it to the big Koopa, one-on-one. Speed versus power! Dino versus turtle! Egg versus shell!
