The Home-Run Bat is an item appearing in all three Smash Bros. games. This item is a powerful melee weapon; performing a side smash A attack will result in a large swing, often causing an instant one-hit KO. However, the smash takes a moment to charge up, often requiring the user to set-up the opponent in order for the attack to hit. In Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a mode in the Stadium entitled Home-Run Contest allows the player 10 seconds to damage the Sandbag, then use the supplied Home-Run Bat to smash the Sandbag as far as possible.
