The President of Hocotate Freight is Captain Olimar's boss, first seen in Pikmin 2. As a result of an accident caused by Louie, the new employee, that sent the company into debt the President is forced to sell Olimar's spaceship, the Dolphin. Upon learning that Distant Planet is full of treasure, he orders Olimar and Louie to return there to scrounge up enough treasure to pay off the company's debt.
[SPOILER WARNING] He also becomes playable after the company's debt is repaid, because Olimar has to return to Distant Planet when Louie is left behind. The President offers to help find Louie (and the remaining treasure).
