Mudkip is a Pokemon specie. It cameos as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Creature description

Mudkip small blue quadruped that is like a mudskipper fish. It breathes underwater using the gills on its cheeks and travels by propelling itself with its large tail fin, and it sleeps by burying itself in soil at the water's edge. The fin on its head functions as highly sensitive radar; it senses movements of the air when it is on ground or the water when it is underwater to determine what is taking place around it without using its eyes. For its size, it is very powerful, able to lift large boulders by planting its four feet and heaving, and also able to shatter said boulders, which helps it defend itself in a tight situation in a battle.

In the third generation of Pokemon games and media, Mudkip is the resident Water-type Starter Pokemon. It evolves into Marshtomp, then evolves into Swampert, a Water/Ground type that is very practical in competitive play. It could be asserted it is one of the most famous species simply because it is featured in an Internet meme, "so i herd u liek mudkipz".
