Creature description
Starly is a common small bird Pokémon in the Sinnoh region where the 4th generation Pokémon games take place. Pokédex information states that it flocks in great numbers and is often not seen alone, partially due to how an individual is barely even noticeable by itself. Each Starly makes very loud, harsh cries and can flap their deceptively small wings with great power.
Starly is arguable the modern counterpart to Pidgey and Taillow as all 3 are among the earliest Pokémon one can catch after receiving a starter Pokémon. Also all 3 evolve as Starly evolves into Staravia, then Staraptor.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Starly appears as a collectible trophy.
As a trophy
- Starly
- A Starling Pokemon. It usually lives and travels in large flocks, so a single Starly will go unnoticed. To make up for this, its call is very noisy. It can often be found in places with heavy vegetation. Its small frame and cute appearance belie the incredible power with which it flaps its wings. When it levels up, it evolves into Staravia.
