Boss Mode is a hidden Stadium mode that is unlocked after clearing both Subspace Emissary and Classic Mode once.
Gameplay
Boss Mode is thematically similar to All Star Mode, but with the 10 Bosses in the game replacing the other fighters. You are given 1 Stock, and no items, with the exception of three Heart Containers that do not regenerate. Unlike All-Star mode, you cannot continue after being defeated. The bosses are encountered in a random order, with Tabuu always being the final boss you face. Like all Stadium modes, Boss Battle mode can be played Co-Op.
Differences
Several of the bosses are slightly altered from their appearances in other modes.
- Master Hand and Crazy Hand are fought separately. These fights are virtually mirror images of each other.
- Petey Piranha's cages are empty, like when you face him in the Great Maze
- The individual themes of the bosses have been replaced with generic music.
- Stickers cannot be used, as they only appear in SSE/
Rewards
