I could swear he's lighter than Kirby, who himself is described as "very light." Can somebody confirm if he is simply light or indeed very light? And also, since we're on the subject, I heard he has more weight when he has more Pikmin following him. Somebody want to check this out? And if it's true, see if the Pikmin's maturity stages affect this too? Weight category doesn't just depend on their weight it also counts on other things like size and knockback, this is why Yoshi is not considered a heavyweight. Super99% | |||

Should I mention in the artical that people wanted him in way before Brawl he was one of the most wanted charecters or something like that. ~Crystal_Lucario 07:58, January 9, 2008 (EST)
Hmmm, I suppose you could. But do you have a source?Atomic Religion 12:16, January 9, 2008 (EST)
Well you could still because on the Nintendo Wiki there's a poll going on and Olimar was on the poll. Pokemon Master 16:57, January 11, 2008 (EST)
that was what I meant^~Crystal_Lucario 07:22, January 11, 2008 (EST) PS I am guessing his final smash is pikmin swarm.
The trivia talking about Kirby's final smash really isn't a glitch, because the time he can make things go into the pot is just limited. Learner3 17:42, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
O yes, do blue pikmin really have the most health? Because, I've seen purple pikmin take some good hits. So could blue pikmin have the most health, while purple pikmin look like they have the most health because they don't latch onto opponents? It is confusing, and I thought that purple pikmin have more health then regulars, because since they can take some attacks and just be blown away. AAAAGGhhhh, I'm sorry, the way I started asking is making me confused. Well, could pikmin also have other stats like range, defence, knockback, or attack? Because if so, then purple pikmin could just have the most defence and the best knockback, and blue pikmin have the most health, white pikmin have the most attack, yellow pikmin could have the best range, etc:. They are all balanced (ish), but here's a list from strong to weak: Purple, Red, White, Yellow, Blue. Blue is the best in defence because they can survive in water, while others can't. SkyPrower 09:34, June 3, 2008 (UST)
Flower Pikmin
If you notice, the pikmin grow flowers over time. If this is anything like the real game, that means that the pikmin should deal more damage when they have a flower or a bud. Whether this is purely cosmetic or actually useful is for further testing. This is a key for one of the events... --69.138.232.32 13:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- To the best of my knowledge they do not. Incarnadine 21:17, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- No, but I do think that their health increases. Maybe it is attack power too. Kperfekt722 (talk) 07:19, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
"Olimar"
Anyone notice now how the game itself refers to the fighter as "Olimar" and not "Pikmin & Olimar"? I'm thinking that's the official name that we should be using now, and if we do it will definitely help make our navigation more clear. Erik Jensen (Appreciate me here!) 17:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
I still think it should be pikmin & olimar or captain olimar. olimar is nothing w/o his pikmin. Also, the game refers to princess peach as "just peach" and the same thing goes for solid snake when he is only called snake. Kperfekt722 (talk) 07:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
In the Japanese version of the game, it refers Olimar to "Pikmin and Olimar", however.
Olimar's weight compared to other lightweights
I could swear he's lighter than Kirby, who himself is described as "very light." Can somebody confirm if he is simply light or indeed very light? And also, since we're on the subject, I heard he has more weight when he has more Pikmin following him. Somebody want to check this out? And if it's true, see if the Pikmin's maturity stages affect this too? MasterKnight 09:59, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Stickers
Does anyone know which stickers are best for Olimar? Do (for example) the "Electric Attack" stickers affect the attack power of the yellow pikmin? If this is true, it would be quite hard to make a good sticker combination for him. 88.71.69.105 13:20, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Red Pikmin
Do they really have higher attack power? I know they did in Pikmin, but in Pikmin 2 this was never mentioned, and I get the distinct feeling that trait was forgotten in favour of handing it to the purple pikmin. Certainly, in Training Mode I seem to be hitting the same with red as I am with blues and yellows. JalYt-Xil-Vimescarrot 15:09, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
Pikmin Idle Stance?
Would the actions the Pikmin do while you stand still with Olimar count towards Olimar's idle stance, or does it not matter? 69.12.204.63 00:15, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Meh, I'll add it anyways. Cafinator (talk) 00:35, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Why delete most of the article?
No, really. Why? Cafinator wants to know. Cafinator (talk) 02:33, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, some of the article. Cafinator (talk) 02:35, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
you caused an edit conflict with me! its cuz the new page format the sysops came up with. the Falco (SSBB) is a perfect example of what we want. and also, can you stop talking in third person, it annoys me JtM =^] (talk) 02:37, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Cafinator is sorry.
...Heh heh...Cafinator (talk) 02:39, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, OK, I looked around and I see what you want to do. That..."post-merge clean-up" thingymajig. Cafinator (talk) 02:41, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
great! thanks! JtM =^] (talk) 02:50, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Down B
I've used Olimars' Down B move, with and without his Pikmin. It protects him from knockback and flinching, even against Final Smashes (I've used it on PK Starstorm, Landmaster), but he still takes damage. Is there any reason this should be put into the article? (Wolf O'Donnell (talk · contributions) 01:38, 12 November 2008 (UTC))
-> That is called Super/Heavy Armor frames. They are attacks that have a few frames where they don't flinch. There's no point to adding that on Olimar's page because it is mentioned in the Pikmin Order article.
Pikmin colors from platform?
So the DOJO!! says that certain colors of Pikmin are more common coming out of certain types of flooring. Is there any actual truth to this? Are some Pikmin colors more common on certain stages because of this? I'd like to see someone do some in-depth research of this point, if possible. Miles (talk) 22:26, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
