Piranha Plants are a carnivorous plant in the Mario. There aremany types of Piranha Plants, including them who don't comes up from Warp Pipes when a character is on or beside them, the one that do do it anyway, some spits fire, some don't have pipes, some isn't bound to the mark and so on.

Piranha Plants may sometims appear as stage elements on PictoChat. However, here they don't go up or down, and stays on the sole stationary platforms. Also, Petey Piranha, the first boss of the Subspace Emissary, is a Piranha Plant. [1]
