:As the one who did all the removing, my main issue was consistency: why bother keeping the ''Brawl'' matchup charts when we axed all the other matchup charts on the wiki? It basically gives ''Brawl'' special treatment just because it's no longer relevant enough for a new chart to be created, and keeping it up would lead to confusion as to why other games don't have matchup charts (which people on the Discord have asked about). Not to mention, there still are some pretty glaring flaws with the matchup charts (Pika and MK being even, really?) while the vast majority of them are also blatantly obvious (like who knew a top tier has a good matchup on a low tier), and with the recent ''Brawl'' resurgence there are bound to be further developments in matchups that will make the table even more inaccurate. I think the main matchup page could stay as an archive, but for reporting them on the character pages, I don't see a reason to do so. Forums: Index Proposals Brawl matchups
Proposed.png This discussion is in regards to a proposed change on SmashWiki. The discussion must first meet with a consensus before it is implemented.

Earlier this year, the Brawl matchups were removed from the character pages (and the matchup article tagged for deletion), citing the new tier list discussion. However, I was under the impression that the Brawl matchups specifically are fair game for inclusion due to, unlike the 64 and Melee matchups, still being largely agreed to be correct (see also this earlier discussion). Not to mention that this very subject has recently been given renewed attention. RickTommy 00:59, July 13, 2024 (EDT)
