Harassment Contriversy
In June 2023, Omuatsu and Umeki had a negative interaction at a smash tournament which resulted in a harassment campaign being started against the ladder. The campaign included harassment over Umeki's Daisy cosplay and depression as well as death threats. As a result of the campaign, Umeki DQd from a tournament that he signed up for that week of, and it was revealed that Omuatsu didn't stop the campaign [1].
Omuatsu would receive major backlash from the Japanese Smash Community and would lose both of his sponsors. He would finally apologize and voluntarily leave the smash scene as a result of the controversy.
