The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Article on Wikipedia Proto Man

Proto Man (ブルース, Blues) is a character from the Mega Man universe.

Origin

Proto Man is a prototype robot built by Dr. Light, and thus serves as an "older brother" to Mega Man and Roll. After he was completed, Dr. Light discovered a power defect, which would end up depleting Proto Man's power supply. He tried to fix Proto Man, but Proto Man was programmed with independence, which he thought Dr. Light was going to remove, so he fled, and Dr. Light, having learned from the defect, perfected the power supply and created Mega Man and Roll before creating the Robot Masters. Proto Man was discovered by Dr. Wily, who fixed his energy core. He has similar abilities to Mega Man, such as an arm cannon and the Variable Weapons System, but also carries a shield and has a distinctive whistle tune to announce his presence. Proto Man was initially allied with Dr. Wily and would help him in his schemes, but later games depict him as an aloof ally to Mega Man. Dr. Wily attempts to frame Proto Man as the villain in Mega Man 5, but the impostor Dark Man is ultimately revealed by the real Proto Man. Proto Man is also playable in several games, such as Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10.

In Super Smash Bros. 4

Proto Man appears in Super Smash Bros. 4 with three roles.

In Smash Tour

In Smash Tour, Proto Man is a green item. A player using Proto Man will cause any items that target them to be reflected back to the attacking item's user. This resembles how his signature shield blocks projectiles in his own series.
