Bocchi was an ‘’Ultimate’’ Isabelle player from New York. She regarded herself as the best Isabelle player during the early metagame as she notably defeated Ally at AON Smash Ultimate #027 en route to a 5th place finish-out with solo Isabelle.
Bocchi also had a YouTube channel amassing over 8k subscribers despite only ever posting one video.
Controversy
After her victory over Ally, Bocchi took to twitter where she claimed that she would be retiring from smash as “Bocchi” and would either be competing under a new name or retiring all together because of the new attention she had gained after fellow smashers such as ZeRo made videos on her and she received harassment from people.[1]
2 days following this, Ally made tweets claiming that his previous denials about his relationship with CaptainZack were false and that he had fact been in a relationship with Zack, a minor.[2]
This led people to compare the two incidents claiming that it was hypocritical for other smashers to harass Bocchi for leaving the community, but also encourage Ally to not leave despite him admitting his relationship to CaptainZack.[3]
16 days following this, smasher Ryuga made tweets showing screenshots of Bocchi and Stroder using the n-word multiple times in a Discord server. Bocchi quickly took to twitter following this, claiming that she was not a racist and was simply an edgy teenager almost a year ago. She quickly became inactive after this.[4]
