Hokuriku is a Smash region comprised of four prefectures. These prefectures include Ishikawa, Fukui, Niigata, and Toyama. On an administrative level, this region would be part of the Chūbu region. However this area has significant historic and cultural differences that have led it to being considered separate.

The largest Smash tournaments tend to occur in Ishikawa, including the long-running Ishibura. However tournaments are also regularly hosted in the other prefectures.

The regions's most successful player is Nagahari who was one of the best Diddy Kong players in Japan during Brawl. While, Nagahari continued to have success, despite infrequently playing, the regions representation would see growth with Sukekokko, Tofu, and Tsujikou in Smash 4 and Monacoin Otaku and Rido in Ultimate. Sukekokko in particular garnered attention, notably placing 25th at Umebura Japan Major.
