Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ, Sonikku za Hejiihoggu) is SEGA's mascot and Mario's "rival", or so Nintendo has said. He makes his first appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as the second third-party character, after Snake.

Character Description
Is a blue hedgehog and he's very fast. Sonicis the rival against Marioto see who's the better mascot. Sonic has alot of games and each one of them he's fast in.
Super Smash Flash
In Super Smash Flash Sonic is the same hedgehog but he's ready to fight. He's Fast and he does medium damage with his attacks. he is fast to react with his attacks thats why he's good in this game.
Super Sonic
In Super Smash Flash Sonic doesn't transform into Super Sonic they are Seperate Characters. The Seperate characters give you the idea of Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi cause of the seperate transformations.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
In the April 2002 edition of EGM, an Aprils Fool's claim was that Sonic and Tails, the two biggest mascots of the game company Sega, could be unlocked in Super Smash Bros. Melee by defeating 20 or more Fighting Wire Frames in Cruel Melee. Players have proven this rumor false both in premise and in practice. When asked if Sonic was going to appear in Melee in an interview with Edge Magazine, Yuji Naka, creator of the Sonic franchise, stated that "It was very close, but time constraints did not allow us to continue with the idea."
Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Sonic is a confirmed character for Brawl. He is described as being a very fast character, similar to Fox, Captain Falcon and Falco in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Judging by the E for All demo and an update on Smash Bros. DOJO!!, his attacks are based on more classic moves from Sonic's earlier platforming games.
