Cheap means using an tactic that is not tournament-caliber, but still winning with it. Often it includes tactics that resort to low blows, deception, attacking when the opponent is distracted (or causing a distraction), or using a sure-fire attack that is deemed "too powerful" to be used by advanced players.
If a player wishes to be respected in tournaments, he or she should avoid using cheap attacks or tactics.
