Spamming refers to using a certain move repetitively. Some popular moves to spam are Fox's Blaster/Firefox and Samus' missles (either kind). However, spamming is considered cheap, and will not earn you much respect on the competitive scene. Not only that, by doing so will earn you the Slate Moves penalty in a Melee.
