Super Smash Bros. Series
The main characters of Earthbound, Ness, was an unlockable character in the first Super Smash Bros.. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, he returned as a starter character, and Mr. Saturn became an item in that game. It is currently unknown is either of the two will return, or is anything new from Earthbound will be introduced.
In addition, the Franklin Badge, which was an obtainable item in this game, appears as an Item in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
