Super Smash Bros. winners Japan Wario

Kanto 2020 or Fall Kanto 2020 was a national Super Smash Bros. tournament held on November 22, 2020, in Tokyo, Japan. It was held alongside BattleGateWay 31, a Melee regional part of the ongoing series Battle Gateway.

As per other recent events, pools were best of 1 with the top 4 of all 8 pools advancing. The final bracket was double elimination best-of-3, even in grand finals, with the seeds for the first round decided by stock count in pools. A "B Bracket," or amateur bracket, was held for the people who didn't advance from pools. Watch provided the main Japanese stream with VGBootCamp streaming the finals after the melee event ended. DarkHorse provided an English commentary restream commentating along with several other players.

wario won the main event for his first major since Kansai 2018 defeating Kurabba in winner's finals and grand finals without dropping a game. Kysk's winning streak, whose last loss also was Kansai 2018, was broken by losing to wario in winner's semis and Wangera in loser's quarters leading to an unexpected low 5th place.
