Origin

The Jinjonator attacking Gruntilda repeatedly.

In the original Banjo-Kazooie, the Jinjonator makes its first and only appearance in the final boss battle against Gruntilda. In the penultimate phase of the fight, she casts a shield that grants her immunity to all of Banjo and Kazooie's attacks. Four Jinjo statues then rise from the ground, and activating them summons four Jinjos, who attack Gruntilda and knock her off her broom; after this, a single, large Jinjo statue rises, dubbing itself "the mighty Jinjonator". After activating the statue, the four previously summoned Jinjos are absorbed by the Jinjonator, who rams into Gruntilda multiple times, knocking her off of her tower with one final blow.

Trivia

  • The Final Smash's cinematic takes place atop a flat, grey surface surrounded by large stones with a dark sky in the background, implying the same location that the Jinjonator was utilized in Banjo-Kazooie, the Top of the Tower at the peak of Gruntilda's Lair.
  • For a brief moment after the cinematic ends, Kazooie can be seen holding her kazoo in her mouth before she ducks back into Banjo's backpack.
