Description
Steve uses up a piece of iron to pull out a minecart, and begins placing tracks along the ground to move from side to side. Each rail uses up one piece of stone and wood, and the minecart will halt movement if there are no tracks for it. The minecart has difficulties making uphill movements, but is otherwise reasonably fast on the ground. Should Steve exit the minecart and let it run into an opponent, it will grab them, potentially leading to an off-stage KO or even a combo into one of Steve's own attacks. The chances of a trapped character escaping depend on their damage percentage. Steve can also place powered rails which utilize gold and redstone, which will cause the minecart to accelerate at the start of the move.
Origin
Added in the June 18, 2010 update for the Infdev version, minecarts are frequently created in Minecraft to navigate quickly through expansive mines, or to simply travel across the worlds at an accelerated rate. After a glitch that removed the ability to boost Minecarts against each other was removed, Powered Rails were added to retain the feature in Java Beta 1.5.
