:It was [https://twitter.com/EVO/status/1260778864323596288 announced] on the official EVO Twitter account that EVO will be hosting an event known as EVO Online, following the cancellation of EVO 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'' was removed from both the special exhibition and the open tournament lineup and won't be featured at the event.
