:No it doesn't dab. We already told you to leave this dab stuff alone. Well you are doing alright but please listen to our warnings: this is SmashWiki, not MemeWiki. Even though I admitably was too blunt on Alex's talk page (I wasn't actually frustrated with you I just got carried away), we told you multiple times to stop with this dab stuff. R.O.B.'s Down Throw

I don't think this should be marked as a buff. While it does give more grounded follow-ups, it renders the Beep-Boop moot, so I think it should be marked as neutral and say something like: " R.O.B.'s down throw now buries opponents, now allowing for more guaranteed grounded follow ups at all times, however, due to this R.O.B.'s Beep-Boop combo can no longer be performed."72.133.91.93 13:32, 7 August 2018 (EDT)Blueflame105

But the bury effect is arguably much more useful. Typically burying moves have the caveat of being hard to land, so ROB having a bury throw is HUGE. It effectively gives him a KO setup that works up to any percent. Alex the Jigglypuff trainer 13:38, 7 August 2018 (EDT)

Source for Final Smash?

Where was ROB's final smash shown, and is there a video? 98.116.184.165 21:41, 3 November 2018 (EDT)

I have two questions

So, two questions. Number one. Don't we usually use the international colors for the infobox due to this being an English Wiki? I personally far prefer the JP colors to the NA colors, but consistency is improtant. Number two. Can someone give me a source for R.O.B.'s new FS? The concept seems to farfetched for someone to have made up, but just farfetched enough to be a Mr. Sakurai thing. Anyway, I'd like a source, preferably a video so I can see it in action. Thank you in advance. 72.133.91.93 22:59, 9 November 2018 (EST)Blueflame105

I'm pretty sure we're using R.O.B.'s Japanese colors for consistency with Brawl, since they never released any official art of his NES colors in that case. As for the Final Smash, it can be found here. DryKirby64 (talk) 23:05, 9 November 2018 (EST)
The Japanese art was being used because we didn't have access to the NES color's head icon. I proposed we keep it Famicom for the time being, and change it back to the NES ROB once the game released and we had access to the game's files, and I would like to propose that again. Names of ROB's moves

Aren't the names of ROB's moves already confirmed? The game lists his back air and neutral air as Air B and Air N respectively. This matches how the moves are coded in game so I don't see why his other normal moves should follow the same naming convention? In fact I checked one other source (the official guide) and the names match perfectly. --OlympicMario7 (talk) 14:52, 19 February 2019 (EST)

The game lists ROB's back air as Air Boosters. AirN is there, but that's the only one. Also, we don't take the guide's word for anything, nor do we make assumptions about move names. Aidan, the Lovely Rurouni 14:55, 19 February 2019 (EST)

Should we swap the Famicom and NES colors?

I know the reason why his infobox was only the Famicom colors for Smash 4 (before the tabber was implemented) was because the only version of the NES quality was a lower quality than the other characters. This isn’t the case anymore for Ultimate, as both versions have HD renders. So, should we switch any images using R.O.B.’s Famicom colors with the NES colors, including stock icons, his appearance on the character table, and wherever else it may be, since we are an english-speaking wiki prioritizing the japanese default. Lou Cena (talk) 19:15, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

The main reason we use Famicom R.O.B. as the default is because it's the default for Brawl, so it's more for consistency than anything. DryKirby64 (talk) 19:18, June 14, 2019 (EDT)
True for Brawl and japanese versions, but we’re an english wiki. R.O.B.’s costume did switch, and I feel like it’s too major to just mention somewhere. Lou Cena (talk) 19:29, June 14, 2019 (EDT)

R.O.B.'s drowning animation

When R.O.B. drowns, he dabs, WRONG! You see there are people who think R.O.B. is dabbing when is drowns but that's because of the camera angle. If you look at his eyes, you can see he's opening his arms. Don't answer it.

Uhh was this really necessary? Please read SW:TALK because this is not how you use talk pages. SupαToαd64, the Best 001Toad.jpg 01:02, October 12, 2019 (EDT)

Oops. Sorry. It's not okay to trash-talk in talk pages isn't it? But R.O.B. doesn't dab when he drowns doesn't he? Y'know I think I'm doing good at editing articles ain't I?

How can R.O.B autocancel his back aerial in a short hop?

From what i saw, R.O.B.'s back aerial can autocancel in a short hop, but its autocancel window is after he reaches the peak of his short hop: his short hop timing is 40 frames, while back aerial and down aerial autocancel at frames 46 and 45, respectively. There are no sources that say that his back aerial slows down or stalls his momentum in the air, so explain to me how R.O.B. can autocancel it in a short hop.212.216.254.3 09:36, January 20, 2020 (EST)

It also stalls his vertical momentum, just not as much as down air. This can be easily checked in-game, especially in Ultimate with Training mode's frame advance option. Use back air in a short hop and it'll autocancel. I'd advise you don't question the content of articles if you don't actually have the Smash games (especially Ultimate), since that's where all the information comes from in the first place. Proof-checking is extremely important for any edit. 034.png DracoRex, Creator of the Land 11:58, January 20, 2020 (EST)
Also if you want technical proof, the scripts for R.O.B.'s back air contain a line for adding momentum (SET_SPEED_EX) which shows the three coordinates. In this case you can see the move adds momentum in both the X and Y axes (1.5 and 0.5 respectively). 034.png DracoRex, Creator of the Land 12:02, January 20, 2020 (EST)
