16 January 2020: Byleth is announced as the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, scheduled for release on January 28th. Additionally, a second Fighter’s Pass is announced. It is revealed to have six fighters in it, and will be completed by December 31st, 2021.

14 January 2020: A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate livestream is announced for January 16 at 6:00 A.M. PST via the Nintendo Versus Twitter.

13 January 2020: At EGS Cup 3, Zackray, Abadango, and Shuton take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles.
