Event Match 22: Super Mario 128 is one of the 51 Event Matches from the Event Mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The player has to kill 128 Tiny Marios in this event. Each of the Marios are tiny, which can make them difficult to hit, but almost any attack will kill them in one hit. Marios will start coming down three at a time. As the event progress, four to five Marios will come down at a time. This event is tedious, so items like the Warp Star and Poke Balls are helpful since they can kill multiple Marios.
Strategies
Donkey Kong
Use Donkey Kong's down B move to kill the Mario's. Try to stay in the middle of the stage too. Beware of explosive items while using this move.
Kirby
Use Kirby's down B move to kill the Mario's. Stay in the air, then when the Mario's spawn, use his stone ability to KO them.
Bowser
Use up-B and smashes.
Pichu
Use up-tilt and up-air.
Pikachu
Use Thunder.
Dr. Mario
Throw one and several others will randomly fly off as well.
Trivia
- The name of this event match is a reference to the series of experiments to test technology that was eventually used in later games from Nintendo, as well as the would-be sequel to Super Mario 64.
