I don't believe the fact that a stage is in more than one game is the basis for its own article. Almost all of the information on the page is listed in nearly the same format on stage. Past stages, familiar stage, returning stage could all redirect to a sub-header on the main stage article. Smore (talk) 09:53, July 13, 2019 (EDT)

::Oppose while it’s no longer special if a stage was in multiple games, there was a distinction between past stages and new stages beyond newness in Melee and Brawl. Not only were they given specific monikers (past stages and melee stages), but they were also never used as a character’s Home stage (which has also kind of died off after 3DS). SSB4 past stages were never called 'familiar stages'. In the Direct, the 'familiar stages' was merely a statement to the audience saying that these stages are familiar, since they've appeared in Smash before. CloudSmash (talk) 04:29, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

Move?

I oppose a move. Past Stages is just as generic and is also an official term. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 15:04, 4 November 2014 (EST)

Oppose. "Returning" and "past" are somewhat—but not quite—synonyms, as in "to return from somewhere different (in this case, the previous game)". So there would be no reason whatsoever to move this. Rtzxy Reflect.jpg Reflect!!! 15:11, 4 November 2014 (EST)

Oppose, "Returning Stages" has never been used to describe these stages, "Familiar Stages" however, has been used in two games, where as "Past Stages" has been used in one, however Past Stages is more generic, catch-all, and was used first so I won't argue that it shouldn't be the main title, but I will argue that Returning Stages shouldn't be used, heck I don't even think it deserves a redirect. Oppose for the reasons said above. TepigSprite.pngTepig (talk) 14:30, 16 December 2014 (EST)
Oppose and since this hasn't been touched since December and has no support, I am removing the tag. Serpent King (talk) 13:40, 14 May 2015 (EDT)

Deletion

I don't believe the fact that a stage is in more than one game is the basis for its own article. Almost all of the information on the page is listed in nearly the same format on stage. Past stages, familiar stage, returning stage could all redirect to a sub-header on the main stage article. Smore (talk) 09:53, July 13, 2019 (EDT)
