On one hand, South Korea is in no way a notable ''Smash'' region, especially since there are no top players aside from JJROCKETS. On the other hand, I'm all in for recognizing less notable regions/tournaments/smashers, so I '''oppose''' deletion. Please do not delete this page. South Korea is a small region that few people know about, but we want to raise awareness. The US and Japan are large enough to have smaller individual regions. If those pages don’t exist (I know some US regions do have pages), that is because no one has taken initiative to make them. The same goes for Mexico. South Korea is smaller than most states, so the country is currently its own region. Therefore, it is not comparable to the US, Japan, or Mexico as stated in the reason for deletion. The editor suggests deletion of this page for the following reason:
"We don't have an article for the US, Japan, nor Mexico, so why should we have one for South Korea?"
As PaniniSteve says, the comparison with the US is faulty because the US is not a single Smash region, while South Korea is. In fact, many regions in the US do have region pages: https://www.ssbwiki.com/Category:Smash_regions . Notably absent from the list are all regions other than those in the US. So we could instead ask "why should we have region pages for individual regions in the US but none for regions in Europe, other countries in North and South America, Asia, etc.?"
For this reason I think it is arbitrary to prevent South Korea from having its region page. The existence of a South Korea page could also serve to encourage others to write ones for regions in Japan, Mexico, and other countries, which I believe would benefit the Smash community as a whole.
