Mr. Game & Watch is a character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. His first appearance was in the Game & Watch Series (1980), created by Gunpei Yokoi. However, he wasn't given a name until SSBM, and his obscurity took many by surprise.

Mr. Game & Watch is unlocked by clearing Target Test with all twenty five characters, beating classic and adventure with all characters (regular and hidden), or, alternatively, by playing 1,000 VS. Matches.

Clearing Classic Mode with Mr. Game & Watch will unlock Flat Zone, a level that takes place in a giant Game & Watch.
