Back aerial (abbreviated "bair") is an aerial attack that is performed by pressing the A button and back on the control stick. Notable back aerials include:
- Ness and Zelda's back aerials, both of which are known as the toe, are powerful, low-trajectory attacks with a sweet spot at the character's toe.
- Marth and Roy's back aerials, which allow the character to turn around while still in mid-air. These are the only aerial attacks able to do so.
