Conditions are a new type of ruleset used exclusively for the Spirits mode and World of Light adventure mode in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Each spirit battle contains one or more special conditions that fit with the opposing spirit that the player is facing in the game. These come in all varieties from only taunting to only favoring certain attacks. They allow for the fight to really become something unique and special.
List of (Known) Conditions
- The enemy's side special has increased power
- The enemy favors side specials
- The enemy is invisible
- The enemy has super armor and is hard to launch or make flinch
- Stamina Battle
- The enemy favors grabs and throws
- The enemy's melee weapons have increased power
- The enemy loves to taunt
- The enemy starts the battle with a Killing Edge
- The enemy has super armor but moves slower
- Timed Stamina Battle
- Hostile assist trophies will appear
- Defeat the main fighter to win
- You constantly take minor damage
- The enemy starts the battle with a Lip's Stick
- The enemy starts with a Drill
- The enemy tends to avoid conflict
- The enemy is metal
- Certain items will appear in large numbers
- The enemy is easily distracted by items
