Kirby is a character in both SSB and SSBM. Although tierwise he was one of the best characters in the original Super Smash Bros., in Super Smash Bros. Melee, he became one of the worst.
Pros & Cons
The following list only applies to the SSBM version of Kirby.
Pros
- Decent horizontal and excellent vertical recovery
- Opponents generally have less experience fighting against Kirby, because there are so few competitive Kirby users.
- High range
- Lowest crouch in the game (can duck under most characters' grabs)
- Quick attacks
- Good defensive abilities
- Large shield in relation to body size
- Multiple jumps allow for more aggressive edge-guarding
- Can moonwalk (Albeit poorly)
- Can perform Kirbycide
