Pros & Cons

The following list only applies to the SSBM version of Kirby.

Pros

• Decent horizontal and vertical recovery
• Difficult to fight due to lack of experience (few competitive players)
• Tilts cover good distance
• Lowest duck in the game (can duck under most characters' grabs)
• Quick aerials
• Ability to "suicide-throw" or "swallowcide"
• Good defensive abilities

Cons

• Much weaker in SSBM than in SSB
• Generally weak moves, hard to get KOs off
• No great advantages over other characters
• Many situations in which all jumps will disappear
• Light, easy to kill off (somewhat rectified in PAL)
• Very few ways to approach
