Mr. Game & Watch (Mr.ゲーム&ウォッチ, Mr. Game & Watch) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Aesthetics

  • Change Mr. Game & Watch's base model appears similar to the previous installment; however, certain moves alter his appearance to resemble the game they are based upon.

Grabs and Throws

  • Change When a character is thrown by Mr. Game & Watch, they will turn into their respective stock icon for the duration.

Special moves

  • Change Judge's numbers now appear in a jumble, before settling on the decided number.
  • Change Octopus now grabs opponents and drags them offscreen. While this does increase its KO potential, it also reduces its range. A greenish-beige backdrop similar to that of a Game & Watch game temporarily appears during this Final Smash.
