Wario (ワリオ, Wario) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. He was confirmed as a playable character on June 12th, 2018.

Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4

Wario's moveset appears to be based on his moveset in SSB4 with some slight variances, the most notable being the replacement of his sliding dash attack with his iconic Shoulder Bash from the Wario Land series.

Aesthetics

  • Change Although the primary aesthetic is nearly identical to the previous entry, Wario's classic overalls appearance was slightly changed, the buttons on his overalls now being gold as opposed to their traditional white

Attributes

  • Change Wario has a new dash attack, resembling his classic shoulder bash Dash Attack from the Wario Land series.
  • Change Wario's previous forward tilt also appears to have been replaced with a heavy-handed slap.
  • Change His Wario-Man Final Smash is no longer a transformation. Instead, he dashes forward and if it connects, Wario-Man does a cinematic comic book-style attack that launches enemies away at the end.
