Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Ground Attacks
Down tilt launches at a more upward angle.- Sonic's previous dash attack, which resembled the Spin Attack from his games, has been changed into a lunge kick.
Special Move
Sonic cannot shield cancel his Spin Dash anymore.
Trivia
- Sonic's default head icon in Ultimate bears a striking resemblance to the logo for Sonic Team and Sonic's character icon in some of the Sonic spin-off games.
