Super Smash Bros. (tentative title) is an upcoming fighting game for the Nintendo Switch. It was first announced on March 8th, 2018 in the end of the Nintendo Direct on the same day.
Trailer
The first teaser trailer was revealed at the end of the Nintendo Direct on March 8th, 2018. It suggests that the Inkling is to be the first revealed newcomer to the game (although this has not yet been explicitly confirmed).
Confirmed elements
Veterans
Other characters appear to be silhouetted, but they are less clear.
Other confirmed new elements
- Inkling, with female and male designs from the original Splatoon, has been confirmed to appear in the game; whether Inkling will be a playable fighter has not yet been officially confirmed.
Trivia
- This is the first Smash game since Super Smash Bros. Melee to not have a third party character introduced in its debut trailer. Super Smash Bros. Brawl had Snake, while Super Smash Bros. 4 had Mega Man.
- The revealed logo includes a slim cross going through the word 'SUPER' and the letter 'A'. This is the only Smash logo to do this.
