Ledge-stalling is using the invincibility frames gained from grabbing onto the edge of a stage repeatedly for the purposes of edgehogging or mindgames while recovering.
There are several ways to ledgestall, such as simply ledgehopping repeatedly with certain characters, or using a character's up or forward B (such as with Illusion and Firefox).
Many players use this technique in Sudden Death in Brawl when the Bob-ombs begin falling on the stage and it becomes dangerous to try an attack your opponent.
