SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Smash Summit 3 was the third edition of the Smash Summit tournament series. It was a national Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament held in Los Angeles, California from November 3rd to 6th, 2016 by Beyond the Summit. Singles, doubles and side events were hosted. The tournament was held at the Summit gaming house, a private residence, and was not open to the general public.

Around the World[edit]

Around the World is a 4-player game where each player starts with a character from a corner of the select screen and advances characters by winning a round. Each round consists of a 2 stock, 2 minute random stage free-for-all with items on--sudden deaths are played out. Player who advances the most characters in a set time or travels around the world wins.

Trivia[edit]

  • This is the only major invitational tournament in 2016 to not have an Ice Climbers main in it.
  • This is the first tournament in the Smash Summit tournament series where a participating member of the Top Six did not make top eight, with Leffen's placing at 9th.
