This tier list looks out of date.
*Why do you have "top" tier along with number tiers. Why would one character be in "top" tier while an another be in "S" tier?
*Cloud being #1 is debatable. His results in major tournaments are worse than other characters.
*Pikachu at 4th is just wrong, its results are way worse than that. It has poor KO power, damage output and range.
*Zero Suit Samus has fallen off quite a bit. Her results aren't quite that good but Nairo did win SSC 2016. She has no rising aerials and her tilts are pretty bad. She also notably loses to Diddy.
*Diddy is way too low. He has great results and is even ranked 1st on the official tier list. He should be at least top 10.
*Ike isn't that good.
*Mewtwo is significantly too low. His recovery isn't even bad. His results are much better than that. His move are better than decent.
*Doc is too low.
*R.O.B's up air doesn't need to be nerfed if he's ranked where you put him.
*Villager is higher than he should be.
*Pac-man is too high.

*Tier rankings fixed (maybe)
*Cloud is number one in my opinion.
*Pikachu is by no means a bad character, but he probably was a bit high.
*Zero Suit Samus was hit as hard as Shiek or Bayonetta in patch 1.1.5
*Diddy can move up.
*Ike's dangerous punishes and versatile moveset put him pretty high up in my opinion
*Mewtwo did win Pound, but other than good power and dashing speed, I don't see Mewtwo anywhere close to the top.
*Doc is terrible.
*R.O.B's recovery, zoning, and other KO options put him there too.
*You're probably right about Villager.
*Pac-Man is an incredibly unpredictable character with many moves at his disposal. A lot of untapped potential here.

My SSB4 Tier List[edit]

Unlike the past installments, I believe that nearly every character in the roster is viable. Even the E tier characters (to a small extent) can be used. However, there are still some characters that I would never recommend using in any match. Since this is a tier list, I can guarantee that people will have different opinions, so please be respectful! Also, the neglected Miis (my most wanted newcomer) will be included on the list too. Updated for the 1.1.6 patch. Customs are not taken into account.

Top[edit]

  • 1) Cloud - Very low learning curve, incredible range and good power.
  • 2) Zero Suit Samus - Good KOing ability and range. Recovery is nothing special but her grab game is a different story
  • 3) Rosalina - Effective puppet fighter.
  • 4) Sonic - Very fast, can rack up damage very easily. Recovery is one of the best.

Feedback[edit]

I feel that you're underestimating Jigglypuff (who does still have a useful air game) and Palutena (awful specials notwithstanding) and overestimating Mii Gunner (definitely not B tier after a few buffs when they were generally regarded to be bottom 5 pre-EVO.) Nyargleblargle (Talk · Contribs) 20:33, 16 October 2015 (EDT)

Doc is too low, Dedede and Mewtwo are too high, Meta Knight is too low, Mii SwordsGunner is too high, and Robin is too high. Other than that, it's good. Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 20:55, 16 October 2015 (EDT)

In addition to the above, here what I would've done in my tier list:

  • Falco and Kirby aren't all that too bad so I would probably say they're around low-mid tier.
  • I feel like Little Mac is an underrated character and I would say he's about 20-30.
  • Bowser is too high, and in my opinion, he's rather kinda low tier.
  • Olimar is also too low and imo Top 20.
  • Captain Falcon is also a bit higher.
  • Roy is great but also a bit too high. However, he could be the best mid tier character.
  • For Lucas, eh, maybe a few spaces lower.
  • Link is probably at 25-35 on the list.
  • Yoshi's position is fine but its somewhat debatable if he should be ranked this high.
  • I would also put Rosalina and Zero Suit Samus in the highest tier as well. Pls, Sheik (and to an extent Pikachu) does not completely dominate the cast.

Despite some questionable placings, you have a good tier list, while a lot of other Smash 4 tier lists that I've seen were pretty bad. Dots (talk) Mega Man X SNES sprite.png The Windows 00:19, 17 October 2015 (EDT)

Hey, are you talking about mine? I personally think it is good! Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 07:39, 17 October 2015 (EDT)

Thanks for all of the feedback. Many of these placements were actually found on some of my older tier lists (Rosalina was first and Kirby was higher.) There are also many characters that I had very limited knowledge on (Olimar, Robin, and and Game and Watch come to mind) so I put them around mid bottom to be safe. I also agree about the lowering the DLC characters. While I do have them, I didn't know where to place them. I just knew that they were above average. As for Mii Gunner, I feel like they can stay there due to amazing range, decent KO power and damage output, and good physics. Doc can be moved slightly higher too.Sausage12 (talk) 07:27, 17 October 2015 (EDT)
