Someone tried to make a new version of this, so I figured I'd explain why I did it the way it is: one, it's skinny because it matches the Inkipedia logo; two, it's not tilted because the majority of official series symbols are vertically symmetrical, and to my knowledge there's enough usage of the symbol as upright in Splatoon that it would be acceptable. If you guys think so, I just felt the skinny squid doesn't fit the official art, it looks like when someone was making this they ignored the outline of the official symbol and not only that, the eyes look too circular. Also there are only several occasions were the squid symbol even appears in the game, the loading screen where they animate and are not goo reference and on the flag were it seems like it's the most official. Either way, I'm not concerned, Splatoon is popular enough as it is and will eventually get an official symbol from the Smash games.{{User|Sgt. Sarge}} 11:08, 27 July 2015 | |||
