Energy Tanks are recurring single-use items in the ''Mega Man'' universe, where [[Mega Man]] can use them to restore his health to full at any time. However, they were relatively rare outside of the instances where they can be purchased from shops. Similar Tank items exist that restore Mega Man's weapon energy, or both his health and weapon energy at the same time.

The Energy Tank (エネルギー缶, Energy Can), also known as the E-Tank, is an item from the Mega Man universe.

Origin[edit]

The original E-Tank sprite from Mega Man 2.

Introduced in Mega Man 2, Energy Tanks are recurring single-use items which Mega Man can use at any time to fully restore his health. They can rarely be found in levels and often require using specific items or traversing hidden or dangerous areas to reach; however later games made them purchasable in shops. Mega Man can also carry a limited number of Energy Tanks. Later games introduced similar items which restore Mega Man's weapon energy (the W Tank), or both his health and weapon energy at the same time (the M and S Tanks).

In Super Smash Bros. 4[edit]

Energy Tanks appear in SSB4 in two main roles.

In Smash Tour[edit]

In Smash Tour, Energy Tank is a red item. A player can use an Energy Tank at the beginning of a battle to be healed by 50% damage should their damage exceed 100%. It is functionally the same as the Fairy Bottle.

Trophy[edit]

The Energy Tank trophy appears in both versions.
