Petilil (チュリネ, Churine) is a creature from the Pokémon games.
Origin[edit]
Petilil is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, where it can be found in the wild exclusively in Pokémon White and White 2: its Black/Black 2 counterpart is Cottonee. Petilil is categorized within the Pokédex at #548 as the "Bulb Pokémon". It is a female-only species, and it evolves into Lilligant when exposed to a Sun Stone, which has a Grass/Fighting-type regional form endemic to Hisui.
Sleep Powder is a Grass-type status move with 75% accuracy which puts its target to sleep if successful. Petilil learns it through level up in all games where it appears.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[edit]
As an enemy[edit]
Petilil appears as an enemy in Smash Run.
Petilil waddles around at a moderately fast speed, turns at ledges, and jumps when it reaches a wall — turning around if it fails to make the jump. When Petilil spawns or is near the player, it stops to use Sleep Powder, spraying purple dust in front of itself which deals 1% damage and causes any players caught in it to fall asleep. Though resembling a stream of projectiles, Sleep Powder is actually a disjointed hitbox and thus cannot be reflected or absorbed. After Petilil uses Sleep Powder, it will not use it again until 3.5 seconds pass.
Trophy[edit]

- The leaves on this Grass-type Pokémon's head taste bitter, but eating them is known to refresh a tired body. In Smash Run, it'll disperse purple Sleep Powder over a wide area when it gets close to you. It's easy to get caught off guard by the attack if you're busy fighting other enemies, so if you see a Petilil, take it out as fast as you can.
