This event match features no time limit. The CPU Zelda's [[artificial intelligence]] is set at Level 9, while the CPU Mewtwo's artificial intelligence is set at Level 8.


Trivia:
When the match starts, the player's fighter will spawn on the center of the main platform, while Zelda spawns on the topmost soft platform. The match starts off with the player's fighter battling Zelda. After 15 seconds, Mewtwo will spawn on the leftmost soft platform and joins Zelda to battle the player's fighter. If the player [[KO]]s Mewtwo, it will result in a victory. If the player KOs Zelda, it will result in a loss.
*This Event is based off Mewtwo Strikes Back where Mewtwo makes Nurse Joy his Servant.

Mewtwo Strikes! is the 44th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a 1 stock match against a CPU Zelda and a CPU Mewtwo on the Battlefield stage. This event match features no time limit. The CPU Zelda's artificial intelligence is set at Level 9, while the CPU Mewtwo's artificial intelligence is set at Level 8.
