A move is a loose term compromising all the actions performable by a character. Moves include:
- Standard attacks
- Special moves
- Dodging: shielding, sidestepping, rolling, air dodging
- Jumping and recovering
- Taunts
- Locomotion: walking, dashing, crawling
- Crouching
- Picking up and using items
- Grabbing and pummelling
- Throws
- Techs
Different moves can be combined to form various advanced techniques.
Moves are grouped up into movesets, which are unique to each character, excluding clones and in the case of special moves, semiclones.
Move can also refer to the name of Isaac's attack as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
